My Work in Education.
Emily (she/her) is an Apple Distinguished Educator and has worked in educational technology for over ten years in various tech-related roles. Initially a Creative in the Apple Store @ Stonestown in San Francisco, the experience motivated her to pursue a Masters degree in Digital Media and Learning (at USF).
Emily has worked in K-12 independent schools in the Bay Area since 2014 and is passionate about transforming teaching and learning — supporting people, not devices.

Video: CUE BOOM - Fall, 2019
In 2019, I gave a 3-minute “TED”-like talk at the Fall CUE conference. At the time, I was teaching sound production and sound art electives to middle schoolers and had many awesome insights to share. I focused on how GarageBand for iPad (or any audio app, really) can change the way students learn and connect to themselves and the world around them.

In 2019, I was accepted as an Apple Distinguished Educator, which was an incredible honor and distinction. This has transformed my career and provided invaluable connections and mentors.
